MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2009) - Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: [ CAVM ]), a leading provider of highly integrated semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, wireless, storage, video and security applications, today announced its participation at Interop 2009 being held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas May 18 - 20. Cavium Networks and six of its ecosystem partners will be at Cavium's booth #1943 demonstrating multiple reference designs using the OCTEON™ multi-core MIPS64® processors. Cavium's processors are being used by OEMs and ODMs developing routers, switches, application delivery switches, WLAN gateways, broadband home routers, intelligent network adaptors, 3G, WiMax, LTE wireless base stations and gateways, video conferencing systems and networked high-definition display systems.

Cavium Networks will be highlighting the OCTEON family of Multicore MIPS64 processors with 1 to 32 cores, the ECONA ARM family of connected home and office processors, the PureVu family of H.264 Video processors, the NITROX family of security processors and the recently announced 10G Intelligent Network Adaptors.

Cavium Network's processors are supported by over 100 partner companies that provide operating systems, software applications, middleware, advanced multicore development tools and hardware in ready-to-use form factors such as broadband gateways, 1U appliances, ATCA, AMC and custom systems. Six Cavium Networks' partners will be demonstrating their solutions at Interop. Advantech will be displaying their OCTEON processor based networking and wireless appliance systems. D2 Technologies will show a fully integrated VoIP and rich multi-media communications software solution running on Cavium's OCTEON and ECONA based processors. GE Fanuc will display multiple OCTEON™ Plus based products including the recently introduced 10Gbit Ethernet PCI-Express WANic™ 56511 Packet Processor, and dual OCTEON Plus AdvancedTCA Packet Processor blade with RTM. Mentor Graphics will be demonstrating its Majic multicore development tools. NetLogic Microsystems will be demonstrating a 20Gbps joint reference design using NetLogic's Knowledge Based Processors and Cavium's OCTEON Multicore MIPS64 processors. QNX will display their high-performance operating system showing linear performance scaling with increasing number of cores.
