ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - May 19, 2009) - Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ EVOL ]), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and cable carrier markets, today announced that a leading East African telecommunications operator has selected the Company's NumeriTrack® solution to provide a centralized number management system for all its number inventory requirements.

The carrier currently handles number management across a multitude of systems, including the customer relationship management (CRM) and billing systems, pre and post paid network systems and other inventory systems, each holding a different view of the data. This presented the carrier with a number of issues, the most significant being that it could not see the status of its entire number inventory in one place at any given time.

The carrier needed a centralized database that could provide a consolidated view of its number inventory. After a competitive evaluation, the carrier selected Evolving Systems' NumeriTrack solution to provide a cohesive, unified view that would also act as a reconciliation engine between the numerous systems.

"The carrier represents our latest win in Africa. Africa is a very strong market for Evolving Systems. We now have customers in nine countries and we continue to receive strong interest for our entire product suite -- service activation, number management and dynamic SIM allocation," said Thad Dupper, president and CEO of Evolving Systems. "We are very pleased with the way our new products are selling this year -- to date we have closed two new orders for our Dynamic SIM Allocation™ product and with this order, two orders for our international NumeriTrack product. We are pleased by the growing interest in our new products as carriers realize the competitive edge and cost savings these products will provide."
