PureSpectrum, Inc. : PureSpectrum, Inc. Invited to Participate in Georgia Congressman John Barrow's Energy Expo in Savannah
SAVANNAH, GA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2009) - PureSpectrum, Inc. (
Congressman Barrow is a leader in the national awareness campaign for increased public awareness of the importance of energy conservation. The energy expo will invite the public to directly interact with companies that have created and introduced implementable energy conservation strategies. Lighting is among the largest consumers of energy in the United States and a primary target of federal legislation to lower energy usage. At Congressman Barrow's energy expo, PureSpectrum will display its affordable dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) and explain the significance of performance characteristics like dimming and Power Factor in the quest to reduce the national carbon footprint and protect power quality.
PureSpectrum President and CEO Lee Vanatta met with Congressman Barrow in Savannah earlier this year to discuss the company's innovative energy efficient lighting solutions and the impact green lighting can have on the national effort to reduce energy consumption.
"As a company focused on promoting the widespread use and adoption of green lighting products, we welcome this opportunity to educate the public about the importance of energy conservation and speak directly to people who will be able to buy and use our light bulbs," said PureSpectrum Vice President of Sales Garth Kullman. "Energy efficient lighting is a simple but effective way for our country to shrink its carbon footprint, and we have engineered technology and built products which enable anyone to contribute to the greening effort. We are looking forward to introducing PureSpectrum to more of our neighbors in Savannah, and we hope the people who attend the energy expo will come away with a better understanding of what we all can do to help our environment through the use of energy efficient lighting solutions."
In May at LightFair International in New York, PureSpectrum launched its proprietary line of dimmable CFLs and introduced breakthrough dimming technologies for linear fluorescent and commercial and industrial lighting systems. PureSpectrum's dimmable CFLs operate with any conventional dimmer and smoothly dim from 100 percent to five percent without flickering or buzzing. In addition to superior performance, PureSpectrum's patent pending dimmable ballast circuitry contains fewer components than other dimmable ballasts, enabling PureSpectrum's dimmable CFLs to be sold for a much lower price than other brand name CFLs that don't perform as well.
