Omniture, Inc. : Omniture Measures First Ever Shop-able Ads

Retailers that run [ Omniture SiteCatalyst ] to manage the performance of their current (centralized) ecommerce sites will now be able to use a single dashboard that also incorporates performance data from millions of distributed Alvenda Shoplets whether they are running as applications inside social networking sites, as banner ads on social media sharing sites or on thousands of premium publisher Web sites.
Omniture SiteCatalyst, a component of the [ Omniture Online Marketing Suite ], integrates with Alvenda through [ Omniture Genesis, ] Omniture's platform for integrating third-party marketing applications. Omniture Genesis integrations help provide customers with a single view into their marketing data across all of their online initiatives.
Mutual customers are already seeing results from the integration. For example, a leading florist and gift retailer launched Alvenda Shoplets to support its Mother's Day campaign, one of its largest annual spikes in traffic and order volume. In an A/B test, Alvenda distributed millions of Shoplets to premium publisher Web sites alongside comparable banner advertisements promoting Mother's Day gifts. Through Alvenda's use of SiteCatalyst, the retailer measured a 41 percent increase in sales per impression and a 10.5 times increase in interaction rates for the Alvenda Shoplets compared to the traditional banner advertisements.
