RuggedCom Inc. amends employee stock option plan in advance of August 5, 2009 annual and special meeting of shareholders

 WOODBRIDGE, ON, July 23 /CNW/ - RuggedCom Inc. ("RuggedCom") (TSX:RCM), a leading provider of rugged communications networking solutions designed for mission-critical applications in harsh environments, today announced it has made a change to its Amended and Restated 2004 Stock Option Plan. In a meeting held July 22, 2009, the Board of Directors passed a resolution restricting non-employee directors from being granted, as a group, more than 1% of the Company's total and issued outstanding shares. Additionally, no non-employee director may receive an equity award in any fiscal year having a value greater than $100,000. The amendment was made in response to shareholder feedback regarding the Company's proposed increase in the number of shares reserved for issuance under the Amended and Restated 2004 Stock Option Plan, as outlined in the Company's Management Information Circular dated June 17, 2009.
