TAIPEI, TAIWAN--(Marketwire - June 4, 2009) - Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: [ PSEM ]), a worldwide preferred supplier of products for timing, signal conditioning and connectivity, today announced that its highly integrated PI3L720 LAN Switch has been selected by GIGABYTE, a world leader in motherboards and add-in cards, to enable high-speed connectivity for GIGABYTE's motherboards. These cutting edge motherboards equipped with Pericom's PI3L720 LAN Switch are on exhibit this week at Computex, Taipei, June 2 thru June 6, 2009, at the GIGABYTE booth D002 in Hall 1.

GIGABYTE's next generation high-end gaming PC motherboards achieve higher system stability and better performance with the implementation of LAN redundancy provided by two (2) PI3L720 LAN Switches on each board.
