SAVANNAH, GA--(Marketwire - February 17, 2009) - PureSpectrum, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: [ PSPM ]) impressed attendees of the Middle East Electricity Exhibition and Conferences (MEEC) last week with high performance dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL), and the company's executive sales team returned to the United States with sales leads ranging from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe and Asia.

Like most countries, Dubai and the other members of the United Arab Emirates are searching for energy efficient lighting products to reduce energy usage and relieve stress on an increasingly taxed power grid. Members of PureSpectrum's executive staff met with representatives from major utility and industry groups from Dubai to discuss retrofitting existing buildings in Dubai with PureSpectrum's cost effective, energy-efficient lighting technologies.

PureSpectrum Vice President of Sales Garth Kullman said the company was asked to prepare a report on cost savings that could be gained for large structures in Dubai by implementing PureSpectrum's dimmable technologies. The company has already planned a return trip to Dubai in March to present data and discuss potential business opportunities.

"We had positive interactions regarding our dimmable CFL and linear fluorescent products with distributors from virtually every country represented at the show, and we also were privileged to have an audience with groups representing several large structures searching for cost effective energy efficient lighting systems," Kullman said. "Based on the international demand for high quality energy efficient lighting and the reaction our dimmable CFLs received from the international community at the show, I think it is safe to say that PureSpectrum's shareholders can reasonably expect us to announce sales agreements that were generated by our appearance at this show. We have built considerable momentum during the first month of the year, and we continue to create more demand for PureSpectrum products."

In order to be able to respond rapidly to the high level of interest shown in PureSpectrum's dimmable products, the company has already begun the process of filing for patent protection within member nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

"We have reorganized our sales and marketing efforts with respect to the GCC countries, and we have dramatically accelerated our patenting efforts for that region based on the extremely high level of demand," said PureSpectrum president and CEO Lee Vanatta, who also attended MEEC. "Pursuing international markets has always been a part of the long term growth plan for PureSpectrum. Based on the potential for substantial and nearly immediate revenues available to us within these markets we have decided it would be in the best interests of the company and our shareholders to be more aggressive in this region."

PureSpectrum is in the initial phases of a production and manufacturing plan that will enable the company to distribute its dimmable CFLs this year, and Kullman said PureSpectrum was the only lighting company at MEEC to demonstrate a fully functional dimmable CFL bulb. Distributors from across the globe in attendance expressed a growing interest in their markets in dependable dimmable CFLs, and Kullman said the company also discovered several possible licensing and joint development partnerships among other lighting manufacturers interested in adding a dimmable CFL to their product lines.

"We have a substantial advantage in almost every market because distributors and manufacturers are realizing our dimmable bulb not only functions at a higher level than commercially available CFLs but also can be manufactured and sold for a lower cost than other dimmable CFLs," Kullman said. "We learned from attending MEEC that we are favorably positioned as an international leader in developing dimmable technologies for energy efficient lighting."
