PureSpectrum, Inc. : PureSpectrum, Inc. Reports Successful Launch of Multiple Technologies at LightFair International
SAVANNAH, GA--(Marketwire - May 14, 2009) - PureSpectrum, Inc. (
PureSpectrum, which developed fully dimmable ballast technology addressable to fluorescent and solid state lighting, established relationships with hundreds of interested distributors, manufacturers, energy service companies (ESCO), utilities and industry organizations. During the three-day tradeshow, PureSpectrum initiated the sales and licensing process with more than 20 distributors and manufacturers by presenting credit terms and conditions as well as discussing full product line delivery dates.
The company officially launched its proprietary brand of dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) and its cost effective dimming ballast for linear fluorescent fixtures as well as a wireless remote lighting control system prototype. In residential settings, dimmable bulbs account for a substantial percentage of lighting fixtures ranging from flood lights to chandeliers, and PureSpectrum established relationships with several high volume electrical distributors searching for the dimmable energy efficient lighting product that will fill the gap in the multibillion dollar dimmable sector of the lighting market. These relationships will enable PureSpectrum to achieve a nationwide commercial distribution network by the end of the third quarter of 2009.
Based on the interest showed in the company's products during LightFair International and continued exposure for the company's during an ongoing brand launch in the United States, PureSpectrum is prepared to manufacture some 15 million bulbs by the end of the year.
"We formally deployed our products and technologies into the marketplace during LightFair International," said PureSpectrum vice president of sales Garth Kullman. "LightFair was an unconditional success for PureSpectrum from many perspectives. We interacted with distributors who will carry our products, manufacturers who want to license our technologies, ESCOs that want to introduce our products and technologies to their customer base and utility companies that want to buy our products and distribute them to their customers. Everyone who saw our technology function nearly flawlessly believes that PureSpectrum is introducing superior dimming technology for energy efficient lighting."
While the dimmable CFL market is established in the mainstream, PureSpectrum's appearance at LightFair expanded the growth potential of two other market sectors in the lighting industry: dimmable linear fluorescents and dimmable Light Emitting Diode (LED) systems.
Linear fluorescent is the most popular fixture style for commercial and industrial settings, and PureSpectrum's affordable dimmable ballast for linear fluorescents attracted the attention of distributors and ESCOs that service large-scale commercial construction. PureSpectrum has begun negotiations with contract manufacturers to produce the company's dimmable linear fluorescent product line, and the company is confident its lower retail price will open new channels and enlarge the market for dimmable linear fluorescents.
LED systems are considered the long-term future for the lighting industry and were the predominant technology displayed at LightFair, but LED systems are currently hindered by cost and performance issues. PureSpectrum announced in 2008 that its dimmable ballast technology was addressable to LED lighting systems, and Kullman said the company received significant interest from LED manufacturers during the show regarding the application of PureSpectrum's affordable dimming ballast technology to their products.
"As large as the linear fluorescent market is at this time, we are still analyzing data to determine how large the dimmable linear fluorescent market could become when affordability is introduced into the equation," Kullman said. "The LED market is one of the most exciting and dynamic sectors in the lighting industry, and our dimming technology provides another advancement that will propel highly efficient LED products into mainstream usage."
