Tekelec: Tekelec to Present SMS Security Strategies at i-VAS Conference & Exhibition

MORRISVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - March 25, 2009) - [ Tekelec ] (NASDAQ: [ TKLC ]), the network signaling, mobile messaging and performance management company, will discuss SMS security options for strengthening mobile operators' quality of service and reducing churn at the first [ i-VAS Conference & Exhibition ] in Kuwait City, Kuwait on April 1-2, 2009.

Ronald Cornelisse, product marketing manager at Tekelec, will highlight how SMS security provides a value-added service (VAS) that can keep existing customers satisfied and attract new customers, especially in mature markets. His presentation will identify security risks posed by internal and external sources -- including spoofing, SMS flooding and viruses such as the recent Curse of Silence attack -- and how they relate to SMS spam. Cornelisse is scheduled to speak on April 2nd at 9:30 a.m.
