In addition to the board position, Eckert will remain as editor and subject matter expert in the Broadband Forum's Testing and Interoperability Working Group -- the group responsible for the definition and publication of the test plans and performance criteria for DSL and digital home systems. Ikanos also will continue its activities in the Broadband Forum's BroadbandHome™ Working Group, which is tasked to provide the industry with technical specifications that define the devices in the digital home, and ease the deployment and management of broadband services.
