Wed, February 4, 2009 Blonder Tongue Further Enhances Strategic Plan
OLD BRIDGE, N.J.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BDR) announced today the next step in its strategic plan with the promotion of Nezam "Nez" Nikoo to Vice President—Advanced Digital Technologies. Mr. Nikoo will lead the research and development of the Company's expanding digital product offering, including technologies for emerging markets.

With the television industry's transition to digital and high definition content comes the demand for a whole new suite of products," commented Bob Palle, Blonder Tongue's President and Chief Operating Officer. "Nez's impact has already been seen in the explosion of Blonder Tongue's digital product sales. He has provided the Company's digital vision and has been the driving force in developing digital products such as QAM modulators and QPSK/QAM transcoders, as well as transition products such as the agile ATSC/QAM demodulator and the Digital to Analog Processor." Mr. Palle continued, "We are proud to announce Nez's promotion to Vice President. In his new position he will be responsible for the concept design and engineering of Blonder Tongue's professional solutions including high definition and standard definition encoders, multiplexers, and internet protocol TV serving both existing and new customers."
Mr. Nikoo has over 20 years of product and technology experience, 14 of which he has spent with Blonder Tongue. He joined Blonder Tongue in 1995 as a Senior Design Engineer and was promoted to Chief Digital Engineer in 2000. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Nikoo was a Lead Electrical Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin Corporation integrating Space Shuttle payload experiments. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.
Mr. Nikoo, as well as other Blonder Tongue officers, senior management and the Board of Directors, will be in attendance at the 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2009.
