Medworxx announces a record number of software license transactions in Q2

 TORONTO, July 20 /CNW/ - Medworxx Inc. ("Medworxx") (TSXV: MWX) announced today that it has closed a record number of software license transactions in the second quarter of 2009, signing contracts with 8 new customers as well as additional business with 3 existing customers. Medworxx provides healthcare solutions for decision support, compliance and education. Today, hospitals throughout North America use the Medworxx software platform to leverage the power of knowledge to increase competency, reduce redundancy, reduce costs, support compliance and simplify distribution of knowledge to staff and patients. The success in the second quarter was represented across multiple products and geographies. Medworxx now has customers in 9 provinces and 17 states. Contracts for the Medworxx Learning Management System were signed with Bloorview Kids Rehab, Kingston General Hospital, and Northumberland Hills Hospital, all in Ontario, and with Greenway Medical Technologies in Georgia and Sonic Healthcare USA in Texas. The Medworxx Policy Document Management System has been licensed by Burntwood Regional Health Authority in Manitoba, MICS Group of Health Services representing 3 hospitals in Ontario, as well as a license with an existing customer in Ontario, and the University of Maryland Medical Center in Maryland. In the quarter Medworxx also signed a license agreement with its first Quebec customer, CSSS du Lac des Deux-Montagnes for the Medworxx Utilization Management System (UMS), as well as additional license agreements with Southlake Regional Health Centre in Ontario and Alberta Health Services, already users of Medworxx UMS.
