Semitool: Semitool Teams With Zinc Air to Develop Flow Batteries

KALISPELL, MT--(Marketwire - July 15, 2009) - Semitool, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ SMTL ]), a global leader in electrochemical processing technology for the semiconductor and related industries, today announced it has engaged with Zinc Air, Inc. to pursue development of a suite of energy storage products based upon Electrochemical Flow Batteries, also called Redox Cells. Flow batteries are considered critical elements in the expansion and large-scale adoption of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power.
