MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--SumTotal® Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUMT), the market leader and a global provider of talent development solutions, today announced that ProCure Treatment Centers, Inc. (ProCure) has selected SumTotal Systems' ResultsOnDemand® – Learning Management, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that provides companies with rapid, flexible deployment options. Using the solution, physicians, clinical, technical and administrative staff can complete 40 percent of their proton therapy training online, preparing them for the hands-on training at ProCure's Training and Development Center (TDC) in Bloomington, Ind.
ProCure was created with the mission to improve the lives of patients with cancer by increasing access to proton therapy, a form of radiation therapy without many of the short- and long-term side effects commonly experienced with standard radiation therapy. Currently, there are only five proton therapy centers in the United States. ProCure has developed a comprehensive solution for building and operating proton therapy centers—the company has two under construction and two more under development.
"Time is of the essence for patients with cancer. ProCure came up with a solution to build centers faster, but we also needed to find a solution that could help us reduce the time it takes to train physicians and staff," said Tom Doyle, vice president of national training and education for ProCure. Our first group will complete training in June, ready to treat patients at our first center opening in Oklahoma City this summer."
SumTotal ResultsOnDemand – Learning Management platform is configurable to fit ProCure's processes and can be implemented quickly so the organization can effectively meet training compliance requirements and report on training's impact right away. Organizations deploying ResultsOnDemand – Learning Management benefit from improved instructor-led and web-based learning with functionality such as advanced scheduling and administration tools, as well as unlimited curriculum flexibility.
