ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - April 3, 2009) - Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ EVOL ]), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and cable market, today announced that one of its long standing customers in Africa has placed an order to extend the use of the Company's Tertio™ Service Activation solution to provision the carrier's fixed line services.

The carrier has been using the Tertio solution for several years to provision its wireless subscribers and had recently branched out into the fixed and broadband market with the acquisition of two companies. As part of a wider project to integrate the acquired companies' data and services into the existing billing system, it also became necessary to integrate to the Tertio provisioning system. Additional services that will be activated and supported by the Tertio solution include post and prepaid fixed line voice, dial-up internet and ADSL broadband internet. Evolving Systems' regional partner will provide in-country first-line support for this project.

"The carrier has been a valued customer for more than eight years," said Thad Dupper, president and CEO of Evolving Systems. "Their decision to extend the use of the Tertio service activation solution to support both fixed and broadband services not only demonstrates their confidence in us as a supplier but also the product's flexibility, strengthening further an already successful relationship."
