ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - January 22, 2009) -

-- European customer win reinforces position as leader in wireless service activation -- Increases footprint within the Carrier's group to three properties -- Tertio™ Service Verification seen as differentiating factor in selection process

Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ EVOL ]), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier market, today announced that a leading European wireless carrier has selected the Company's Tertio™ Service Activation and Tertio™ Service Verification products.

Implementing a wide program of change, the carrier plans to systematically replace its end-to-end BSS and OSS infrastructure with best-in-class packaged solutions. After a highly competitive and vigorous evaluation process, which included evaluation of established activation providers, system integrators and service activation vendors already deployed across the carrier's group, the carrier selected Evolving Systems to provide solutions for service activation and service verification.

Data inconsistency was a major concern to the Carrier and reducing this inconsistency was imperative to ensuring customer satisfaction, as well as service usage and revenue growth. The chosen supplier had to provide a proven service activation solution, as well as a solution for addressing data inconsistencies. The carrier selected Evolving Systems because the Company has a field-proven solution which has already been implemented by other members of the carrier's group.

Evolving Systems' Tertio Service Activation software will provide a fully integrated convergent service provisioning solution for both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers. The Company's Tertio Service Verification solution will help manage and reduce inconsistencies within the carrier's data by revealing and correcting inaccuracies between data held in the CRM system and subscriber data stored in the network.

"We were selected because we are a well-established wireless service activation provider and the carrier's own analysis showed us to have a best-in-class solution. When combined with our unique service verification application, our service activation capability provided the carrier with a solution that matched their exact requirements," said Thad Dupper, president and CEO of Evolving Systems. "This new customer win will enable us to build on the success of our long-term engagements with the Carrier's two other properties and increase our footprint within the group."
