The SAFETY Act provides incentives for the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies by creating a system of "risk management" and a system of "litigation management." The certification is for technology developed by Advnt Biotechnologies. The kits are immunochromatography-based assays used to screen for the presence of biothreat agents. Each assay provides a one-time use capability and is designed to identify one or more biothreat agents, including Anthrax, Ricin toxin, Botulinum toxin, Plague (Yersinia pestis), and/or SEB (Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B.)
