TeleCommunication Systems, Inc.: TeleCommunication Systems Launches SwiftLink(R) SABR Product Line, Expanding Its Rapidly Deplo
ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwire - July 8, 2009) - TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (
Secure and reliable communications are vital to small, agile and mobile units in many fields of operations such as military deployments, first responder situations and business continuity circumstances. SwiftLink SABR has been specifically designed to meet demanding needs for access to both, classified and clear channels for voice, video, and data via a compact, portable, easily-assembled remote system. SABR provides rapid communications capability, using an everything-over-IP architecture when deployed at any remote location.
The robust and reliable SABR product line is also among the lightest and most flexible communications packages available to the military, government and commercial customers today. The modular VSAT terminal is highly transportable with a pack-in-the-box pedestal design that incorporates few moving parts for a quick-and-easy setup and tear-down capability. Users can start out with a VSAT terminal in any band, and with pre-assembled, frequency-specific feed boom assemblies quickly perform in-the-field changes to other desired operating bands. The accompanying Non-secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) baseband units come in four different form factors -- a three-classifications rack-and-stack, a two-classifications embedded, a two-classifications micro and a three-classifications micro. The SABR family is designed for plug-and-play operations among these various terminals, modems and baseband units. More importantly, SABR requires no special training or special tools to get started.
"With our SABR offering, we are raising the bar on flexible and rapidly deployable communications," said Michael Bristol, senior vice president of government solutions for TCS. "With multiple choices in terminals, modems and baseband packages -- customers can quickly build their desired custom solution at the network's edge by choosing from an array of SABR components and rapidly become operational."
