CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - June 29, 2009) - Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ AGYS ]), a leading provider of innovative IT solutions, announced the availability of a new eBook from Agilysys which examines how virtualization is quickly becoming a standard in the Data Center as a tool to redesign computer infrastructures and eliminate inefficient systems.

The eBook is titled "The Value of Virtualization: Making the Case for Your Enterprise." The first of four chapters, titled "How Do You Stack Up against Your Peers?" is now available for free download at [ http://www.virtualizationvalue.com ].

IDG Research Services recently surveyed executives regarding virtualization in today's enterprise, with 75 percent of respondents saying they are deploying or planning to deploy IT virtualization initiatives within the next 12 to 18 months. While respondents stated server consolidation as the most prominent reason for a move to virtualization, all aspects of the technology stack are being touched: server, network, application, desktop and storage virtualization.

Future chapters of the eBook will dig deeper into how virtualization can solve data center challenges, using virtualization and synchronization to simplify identity management, and whether desktop virtualization can reduce time and costs. Future chapters will also be available for download at [ http://www.virtualizationvalue.com ].
