Global Ecology Corporation: Global Ecology Corporation Announces South Asia Water Purification Partnership
KEASBEY, NJ--(Marketwire - June 10, 2009) - Global Ecology Corporation (GEC) (
Under the terms of the agreement with Mogul International Group, Inc. (MI), GEC will share ownership through a jointly owned subsidiary, Global Water Systems, Inc. (GWS), for operations in Pakistan and Bangladesh. In addition to the sale of the units, a number of water distribution entities will be established that will pay GWS an ongoing royalty on a per gallon of water delivered basis. Once the new business model is implemented in these two countries, GEC and MI intend to replicate the format in other countries as opportunities arise.
As part of this venture, GEC will provide the technical expertise and knowledge to manufacture, operate and distribute the system in a number of configurations and capacities specifically modified to meet the unique needs of the region.
The other shareholder, MI, which has valuable working relationships in Pakistan and Bangladesh, will supply all the funding.
Global Ecology Chairman Joseph Battiato said, "Our newly improved Mobil Water Purification System has the ability to offer life changing assistance to regions of the world struggling with a limited supply of clean, safe drinking water. Our alliance with Mogul International gives us the financial and manufacturing capability at a local level to make our technology available to people in parts of the world that are without this most basic human requirement."
A representative of the newly formed company is currently in Bangladesh with the goal of establishing manufacturing facilities and finalizing the relationships with the initial group of water distributors in that country. He will travel from there to Pakistan to complete the same steps.
