SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ ARUN ]), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, today announced that it has won Verizon's 2008 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA) for outstanding IT products. The Verizon Supplier Excellence Awards recognize companies that support Verizon's commitment to continuous improvement of quality and service to its customers through a passion for excellence. Criteria for winning includes: quality of service, year over year growth, a commitment to supplier diversity, meeting and exceeding performance metrics, providing cost management solutions and excellent customer service. The 2008 Verizon awards were delivered at a ceremony on the first of April in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

"Verizon is focused on delivering the best customer experience so we expect the highest quality service from our vendors, which keeps us focused on the business of serving our customers," said George Dowell, vice president of supply chain services, Verizon Services Operations. "Aruba Networks is among 10 vendors that have received a 2008 Verizon Supplier Excellence Award for delivering advanced products and services and for consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence."

Aruba's centralized architecture uses secure tunneling to connect a client's retail offices to a regional data center. Centrally managed firewall policies are enforced network-wide, affording roaming service technicians and managers access to the same network resources at remote stores as they would at the corporate office. Aruba's integrated security features meet or exceed the wireless LAN-specific security requirements in the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

"Our employees worldwide strive to exceed the standards and expectations of our customers, and this award is a testament to their efforts," said Dominic Orr, Aruba's President and CEO. "We believe that our adaptive wireless LANs, identity-based security, remote networking, and AirWave management solutions offer the best value on the market, and are backed by the very best professional services and channel partners in the industry. We are honored that Verizon, one of the world's foremost telecommunications companies, has recognized our products and services as being foremost in their class."
