HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - June 19, 2009) - ePlus inc. (NASDAQ: [ PLUS ]) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology inc., was selected by Wellesley College to source, configure, and implement a Cisco wireless network for its Massachusetts campus.

Wellesley College chose ePlus for this initiative based in part on ePlus' expertise with Cisco advanced technologies and its status as a long-standing Cisco Gold Certified Partner with dual Master Specializations in Unified Communications and Security. After completing a successful pilot to implement the Cisco wireless network in six buildings, Wellesley College awarded ePlus a follow-on engagement for an additional 22 buildings across campus.

The Cisco wireless network solution allows Wellesley College to cost-effectively address network deployment, management, and control while enabling students and faculty to enhance collaboration and productivity with real-time, anywhere access to instant messaging, e-mail, and network resources.

"We are pleased to welcome Wellesley College as a valued ePlus customer," said Gene Ratto, regional vice president of New England at ePlus. "We successfully demonstrated the depth and breadth of our technical knowledge and commitment to customer service through the pilot. By completing this next phase, we'll provide Wellesley College with a scalable wireless network with a low total cost of ownership to enhance the level of collaborative learning options available at Wellesley."

"We're very satisfied with the results so far from our wireless network initiative," said Sandy Roberts, an IT Director at Wellesley College. "With this leading-edge wireless network in place, our students, faculty, and staff will be able to access our network from just about anywhere on campus. We are removing physical constraints to learning by pushing the educational experience beyond the four walls of the classrooms."

In addition to Cisco Master Specializations in Security and Unified Communications, ePlus holds Cisco Advanced Specializations in Routing and Switching, Data Center Storage Networking, Data Center Networking Infrastructure, and Wireless LAN as well as Cisco Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) designations in Network Hosted Storage, Video Surveillance, TelePresence, and Data Center Unified Computing.
