Infinera will also be awarding the first Infinera Outstanding Student Recognition Prize at OFC. This prize, funded by Infinera and awarded in partnership with the OSA Foundation, recognizes outstanding optical communications research in the area of optoelectronic devices and photonics integration. Infinera is launching this annual prize to support research and innovation in the optical communications industry and to continue the industry's outstanding record of performance improvement which has played an important role in the growing contribution technology makes to our economy and our daily life.
Highlights of Infinera events at the show include:
-- Infinera Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Dave Welch will speak at an Executive Forum session on Monday, March 23rd at 9:30 am PT on "Successful Strategies for Supporting Bandwidth-Intensive Applications." -- On Tuesday, March 24th at 3:00 pm PT, Infinera Fellow Steve Grubb will speak on recent developments in Infinera technology in a Market Watch panel entitled "More Wavelengths, Higher Bit Rates, More Spectrum."
