ADC Debuts Next-Generation Data Center Solutions for Maximum Performance and Density at BICSI Winter Conference
MINNEAPOLIS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT)([ www.adc.com ]) today announced that it will introduce new TrueNet® structured cabling solutions at the 2009 BICSI Winter Conference in Orlando, Florida, January 18-21. The event is being held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort where the company's solutions will be displayed at booth #919.
ADC's [ TrueNet ] products and cabling systems provide the specialized design, greater performance and higher density required by today's data centers to support their broad range of equipment, applications and bandwidth speeds. The new solutions include:
- CopperTen® Dynamic Angle Right/Left Patch Panel: Available in a 1RU 24-port and 2RU 48-port panel, this solution features ADC's patented angle right/left design that eases stress on patch cords and allows for optimal cable management. An integral part of ADC's TrueNet Structured Cabling System, this CopperTen patch panel optimizes next generation 10G transmission performance and advances angled solutions for the data center and LAN environments.
- [ CopperTen ] 1RU 48-Port Plug-and-Play Patch Panel: This 1RU 48-Port Plug-and-Play Patch Panel provides high density 10Gb/s performance for optimal data center solutions. Installed with ADC's new CopperTen Right Angled Augmented Category 6 Jack (listed below) and rear wire manager, the 1RU 48-port design provides maximum performance and density in a smaller footprint.
- CopperTen Augmented Category 6 Right Angle UTP and F/UTP RJ45 Jacks: These new Right Angle CopperTen Jacks feature a low profile design that guarantees maximum throughput. The jacks offer a 45-degree, silver-plated Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) ensuring a secure, reliable connection while meeting all of the requirements for Augmented Category 6 cabling.
"Today's data center customers demand highly reliable and energy efficient solutions that provide optimal performance without compromising density and manageability," said M. H. Raza, vice president of Enterprise Business for ADC. "Our solutions are designed with industry-leading cable management that improves passive airflow significantly which reduces the energy it takes to cool a data center, saving money and the environment."
Other data center solutions that will be featured at the ADC booth include:
- Augmented Category 6 Solutions
- High Density Fiber Solutions
- Energy Efficient Data Center Solutions
Wireless In-Building Solutions
ADC's industry-leading enterprise wireless solutions also will be featured at the conference. [ InterReach Fusion ]® and [ InterReach Unison ]® enable any organization to implement state-of-the-art in-building wireless coverage. Highly economical and remarkably easy to maintain, these solutions are the leading active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) systems on the market with more than 12,000 worldwide deployments by carriers, local governments and enterprises.
