ATLANTA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Eclipsys Corporation®, (NASDAQ:ECLP), The Outcomes Company®, has announced that for the third-straight year its performance management solution, Sunrise EPSi™, has received top honors in the Decision Support-Business market segment with a "Best in KLAS" award. According to the 2008 "Top 20 Best in KLAS Award: Software and Professional Services" report (2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards report) issued by KLAS Enterprises, Inc., (KLAS) 100 percent of survey respondents indicated they would buy the solution again. Sunrise EPSi's budgeting module also made a strong showing in the report. For the second-straight year, it was named a category leader in the Budgeting software segment.
In addition, Eclipsys' newly acquired patient flow solutions earned a "No. 2" ranking in the Other Software category. The solutions, renamed Sunrise Patient Flow™, following the Eclipsys acquisition of Premise Corporation in late December 2008, together with the EPSi solutions and the company's clinical analytics solution, comprise Eclipsys' newly formed Performance Management™ solution suite.

Eclipsys' market-leading Sunrise Clinical Manager™ clinical solution suite moved up two places into the "No. 2" position in the important Acute Care EMR market segment in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards report, as compared to the 2007 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards report. Ninety-one percent of respondents said they would buy the solution again. After surveying Eclipsys clients, KLAS also found that:
- Eclipsys' emergency department solution, Sunrise Emergency Care™, made a 26 percent rating increase in overall score in the Emergency Department market segment.
- Eclipsys' pharmacy solution, Sunrise Pharmacy™, continues to gain in market share and received positive customer satisfaction feedback. Ninety-two percent of KLAS respondents indicated they would buy the solution again. Introduced two years ago as an integrated pharmacy solution with the company's computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system, Eclipsys met its goal to double its number of live pharmacy sites in 2008.
- Eclipsys' surgery solution partner, Surgical Information Systems, LLC (SIS), moved up two positions to receive the fourth-highest rank in the Surgery Management category.
- Eclipsys also was determined to be a preferred provider of application hosting services. The company was ranked among the top three vendors for application hosting (mostly clinicals) and earned a "No. 1" rating for Other Application Hosting Services for decision support.
