


Quova, Inc.: Quova Included in New Web Fraud Detection Magic Quadrant Report by Leading Analyst Firm

'Magic Quadrant for Web Fraud Detection.(1)' ] Additionally, six of the eleven vendors included in the report are Quova solution partners. The report, issued on February 6, 2009, explores a variety of solutions for fighting online fraud.
In the report, Gartner analyst [ Avivah Litan ] analyzes the vendors that provide software products or services that help an organization detect fraud that occurs over the Web.

During the online transaction process, Quova's IP geolocation data can be leveraged to [ instantly identify ] where a Web customer is geographically located. For example, shoppers generally log onto the Internet within close proximity to their billing or shipping addresses. Many retailers report that orders originating from 500 miles or more away from the expected location (e.g., billing or shipping address) have a higher probability of being fraudulent. Quova IP geolocation data is 99% accurate at a country level (attested by PricewaterhouseCoopers) and can be used to flag orders that may result in fraud before the transaction is completed.
