CUSTOMER SUCCESS: BMC Software Helps Harris County Justice Information Management System Save Taxpayer Money, Improve Citizen S
HOUSTON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--BMC Software (NYSE: BMC) today published a video customer success story outlining how Harris County, the third largest county in the nation, successfully implemented BMC Software solutions to create a more effective, cost-efficient and service-oriented justice system.
Cutting costs is at the forefront of every government agency and with the help of BMC, Harris County has been able to ensure the successful operation of the Harris County Justice Information Management System (JIMS), the largest integrated justice system of its kind in the nation. The system tracks an individual's involvement throughout the criminal or civil justice system.
Partnering with BMC, the Harris County Information Technology Center (ITC) uses BMC Performance Assurance for Mainframes to accurately evaluate the daily performance of the JIMS application. The solution allows Harris County ITC to predict future technology requirements, meaning financial resources are not spent too early nor are upgrades delayed that could result in serious performance problems.
