Veraz Networks Expands Distribution Channel in Russia through Partnership Program for System Integrators
SAN JOSE, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Veraz Networks, Inc. ], (NASDAQ:VRAZ), the leading provider of [ Multimedia Generation Network ] application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, today announced a partnership program for system integrators in Russia and the former CIS countries. Veraz Russia officially launched its System Integrator Partnership Program on January 28 with a seminar at the Holiday Inn Sokolniki Hotel Russia.
The event gathered more than 60 leading Russian systems integrators (SIs) active in providing NGN, IMS and bandwidth optimization solutions for the Russian telecom market, the largest telecom market in Europe with over 43 million landlines and 170 million wireless subscribers. Veraz's strong installed base of existing customers in Russia includes Equant, Vimpelcom, MTT, Rostelecom and Golden Telecom.
Veraz has been successfully working in Russia in strategic cooperation with ECI Telecom, and intends to extend company activity by establishing new business partnerships with leading Russian SIs. Veraz NGN and bandwidth optimization solutions allow operators to generate new revenue and cut operational and ownership costs, especially important during a challenging time of global financial crisis. System integrators and service providers working with Veraz are able to significantly lower the cost of deploying and managing applications thereby winning Russian business customers even during the current economic slowdown.
Throughout the region, carriers are handling large volumes of long distance domestic traffic both for wired and wireless calling. Veraz's compression and bandwidth optimization solutions can also reduce the costs for transport associated with these high levels of traffic, while meeting the demands of the Russian geography and legislative regulations.
The Veraz-certified system integrators will resell the [ I-Gate 4000 ] family of media gateways with bandwidth optimization and compression, and the [ ControlSwitch ]™. Veraz's MGN architecture enables carriers to optimize operating efficiency and enhance revenue generating capability, while maintaining high quality for voice and data traffic over TDM and IP networks.
The ControlSwitch platform supports the largest set of legacy and next-generation communication protocols and standard network interfaces enabling the coexistence of TDM and all-IP architectures. Using the ControlSwitch also reduces time to market and provides easy access interconnection between remote areas and the main network, which is particularly suited to regional characteristics. The scalability of the Veraz ControlSwitch provides a cost-effective solution for both full sized national networks of Tier 1 operators and small local networks of small and medium sized carriers.
"Russia and CIS countries are strategic markets for Veraz," notes Gregory Litinsky, VP Russia and CIS of Veraz Networks. "Partnering with local systems integrators backed by Veraz's market-leading products and support will enable carriers in Russia to increase revenue and optimize network efficiency."
