Oracle Corporation: Farmers Insurance Claims Implements Oracle's Siebel Claims Version 8.0 for Its Workers' Compensation Line o

[ Farmers Insurance ] claims has deployed [ Oracle's Siebel Claims Version 8.0 ] for its Workers' Compensation line of business.
This workers' compensation implementation serves as the pilot for Farmers' enterprise-wide, multi-line Claims Redesign of its current claims system to a new, Siebel Claims-based solution from Oracle, scheduled for deployment in late 2010.
After completing the roll out of the enterprise-wide Claims Redesign, Farmers expects to have 12,000-plus users live on Siebel Claims Version 8.0.
The National Workers' Compensation System (NWCS) is a Web-based solution replacing an aging legacy system. NWCS helps Farmers to elevate customer service and satisfaction, improve productivity and operational efficiencies and reduce total cost of ownership through use of the easy to deploy and easy to maintain application.
The business solution helps Farmers rapidly identify and resolve severe claims, and reduces loss costs and loss adjustment expenses.
The solution moves Farmers from paper-based files to straight-through processing that takes advantage of electronic bill review and online file storage.
Oracle's Siebel Claims provides Farmers with a configurable solution that enables the Workers' Compensation line of business to easily configure the system -- without hard coding -- to fit its business processes, while automating previously manual tasks to improve the efficiency of back-office operations.
Farmers also plans to implement [ Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition ] and [ Oracle Business Intelligence Applications ] as the second phase of its Workers' Compensation implementation to improve insight into the effectiveness and efficiency of its claims processes.
