MATECH Corp.: MATECH to Perform EFS Testing for Renowned Engineering Consulting Firm Pennoni Associates and Drexel University

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 7, 2009) - MATECH Corp. (OTCBB: [ MTCH ]) ([ www.matechcorp.com ]) is pleased to announce that it will perform advanced crack detection services using its revolutionary Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) System on two significant bridges in New Jersey. MATECH's EFS has proven its efficacy on 35 highway bridges in 10 states, as well as several railroad bridges across the country.

During this significant bridge inspection project, Pennoni Associates, the subcontractor in charge of the overall inspections on these bridges, will provide access to the bridge members that are to be studied and tested. Drexel University, a leading university and a major center of bridge design and analysis, will work closely with MATECH on the EFS inspection.

Pennoni Associates, established in 1966, is a full-service consulting engineering firm, focusing on the coordination and design of civil infrastructure systems. The company provides various services to a diverse base of clients including structural design, land surveying, water supply and distribution, and wastewater collection and conveyance, among other services.
