ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwire - October 16, 2009) - TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: [ TSYS ]), a leading provider of mission-critical wireless communications, today announced that it has received a $1.6 million order from the U.S. Army funded by NORTHCOM to supply JTRS radios and associated Audio Control Units (ACUs).

This award by the Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM WIN-T) is under the U.S. Army's $5 billion Worldwide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
