RCN Corporation: RCN Expanding Programming Choice by Adding Local News Favorite CLTV in Chicago

HERNDON, VA and CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - October 16, 2009) - [ RCN Corporation ] (NASDAQ: [ RCNI ]) and [ CLTV ], Chicago Land TV, announced today that the local news channel will be available to RCN subscribers starting on October 15.

[ RCN Corporation ] is a leading provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet, and premium voice services to residential and small-medium business customers, in Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, PA, New York, Boston, [ Chicago ] and Washington, D.C., as well as high-capacity transport services to carrier and large enterprise customers.

CLTV moved operations to WGN-TV in Chicago in August, creating a shared newsroom with additional resources for covering stories of local importance.

The 24-hour news channel will air on RCN's channel #31.
