LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2009) - MATECH Corp. (OTCBB: [ MTCH ]) ([ www.matechcorp.com ]) is pleased to announce that the Company's COO, Marybeth Miceli, was asked to present at the Department of Homeland Security's Aging Infrastructure Conference. The Conference was held at Columbia University, covering structure security, structural health monitoring, and asset management.

Ms. Miceli's presentation covered the hazard of fatigue to steel infrastructure and the means and methods of using advanced technologies to detect and monitor this hazard. She also briefly covered the FHWA's efforts in their Steel Bridge Testing Program to evaluate the technologies specifically tailored to this type of bridge damage.

Ms. Miceli presented information on MATECH's leading technology, the Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor™ (EFS) System and its capabilities to determine whether existing cracks on bridges are actively growing and to detect growing cracks indiscernible by conventional methods. She also discussed the importance of using this technology to verify retrofits and repairs for bridge owners.
