Oracle Real Application Clusters now features server pooling and grid plug-and-play capabilities that enable customers to lower their server costs by simplifying the management and provisioning of consolidated database grids.
  • Organizations can also gain efficiencies by implementing a storage grid. Oracle Database 11g Release 2 along with the Advanced Compression and Partitioning options helps support lower storage costs by compressing data 2-4x and easing the use of lower cost storage tiers.
  • This latest release further extends the capability of Oracle Automatic Storage Management to manage not only the data and the disks under a database, but also to manage the storage under file systems.
