New Spend Classification Offers Customers Clearer Insight into Spending History

  • A companion to [ Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics ], Oracle Spend Classification is a new module of the Oracle BI Applications that helps procurement departments categorize spend into a target taxonomy. Featuring a knowledge base that analyzes an organization's buying patterns, Oracle Spend Classification uses Oracle Data Mining for machine learning and other predictive techniques to automatically categorize spend. Through improved spend classification, sourcing managers gain a clearer picture of spending across the organization and are better able to identify cost savings opportunities as well as increase negotiation leverage with suppliers.
  • Oracle Spend Classification is pre-integrated with Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics Release 7.9.6.

Introducing Support for Oracle's JD Edwards World

  • This latest release introduces a new adapter integrating Oracle Financial Analytics, a module of the Oracle BI Applications, with [ Oracle's JD Edwards World Financial Management ] (version A9.2).
  • The integration enables front-line managers relying on JD Edwards World Financial Management to improve financial performance with complete, timely information on their department's expenses, payables, receivables, and revenue contributions.
  • Oracle Financial Analytics features prepackaged Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) maps for the Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, Oracle's Siebel CRM, Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise One and, now, JD Edwards World Financial Management data, helping customers to implement the solution efficiently, resulting in a rapid return on investment.
  • Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6.1 also introduces support for the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1.

    • Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.1 for ETL;

    • Operating systems spanning Oracle Enterprise Linux 5, IBM AIX 6.1, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Red Hat Linux 5.
