(NASDAQ: [ NAVI ]), a leading provider of [ cloud ]-enabled enterprise hosting and application management services, announced today that its Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Denis Martin will present "[ Tales from the Transactional Cloud ]" at the Cloud Expo Europe, the 6^th International Cloud Expo. [ Cloud Expo Europe ] will be held June 21-22, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic.

One of the inhibitors of wide-scale adoption of e-commerce and other transactional applications is the perception that cloud-based services are not yet transaction-capable. Transaction-based applications require an infrastructure that ensures security, dependability, and the ability to handle large volumes. In addition, e-commerce applications require proven credit card processing capabilities. In his presentation, Mr. Martin will review the requirements of transaction-capable cloud services, including real-time performance and its underlying infrastructure, multi-pronged security, and compliance capabilities that are needed to adhere to compliance standards. He will also present a case study of a company running transaction-based applications in the cloud.

About Denis Martin
Denis Martin is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of NaviSite. His role reflects his continued contributions to NaviSite's strategic direction, including acquisition activity, and product, service, and channel development. Mr. Martin brings 20+ years of business experience and has served in several positions in the company, most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.
