USDA Rural Development Accepts LSX Fiber Panel Products
MINNEAPOLIS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) ([ www.adc.com ]), a leading supplier of infrastructure solutions for fiber deployments, announced today its LSX Fiber Panel product family is now accepted by the USDA Rural Development for use in telecommunications systems. ADC's products bring improved, widespread broadband deployment to previously underserved rural communities.
Product acceptance by the USDA Rural Development means that ADC's LSX Fiber Panels can be purchased and installed using this agency's loans or grants. This allows rural carriers to take advantage of the many ADC product benefits such as reliability, robust performance and reduced installation and maintenance costs.
"We are pleased to contribute to the expansion of rural economic development by providing high-quality, cost-effective products for rural communities," said Pat Thompson, director of fiber products for Global Connectivity Solutions (GCS) for ADC. "ADC recognizes the importance of accelerating network upgrades in rural areas that provide advanced communications so essential to fostering economic growth."
The LSX Fiber Panel product family is designed to satisfy a broad range of capacity requirements. Panels can accommodate 12 to 288 terminations and configurations including adapter-only, stubbed panel or termination/splice panels. The high density LSX 288-position panel offers integrated vertical cable guides within the panel which effectively segregate cables, aiding in easy-to-follow routing paths. The panel's angled bulkhead style offers additional protection from bends that can increase attenuation and loss.
In addition to the LSX Fiber Panels, the USDA Rural Development has previously accepted ADC's Next-Generation Frames (NGFs), OmniReach™ Fiber Access Terminals (FATs) and Fiber Distribution Hubs (FDHs), as well as OmniReach Multi-Port Service Terminals (MSTs).
