Health Systems Solutions and USIS Enter into Technology Agreement; HSS to Develop Next-Generation Mobility Application
NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Health Systems Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: HSSO) today announced it has entered into an agreement with US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS), the largest supplier of investigative services for the federal government, to develop a state-of-the-art Production Master Scheduling/Case Load Management mobility application to ensure compliance with government case closure requirements.
USIS is a leading provider of security screenings, background investigations, employment and drug screening services, automotive insurance underwriting services, and national security solutions to government and corporate clients. USIS was formed in July 1996 following a White House initiative that led to the first privatization of a government program. Today, USIS has more than 7,400 employees that support business operations in all 50 states, U.S. territories, and overseas. USIS is owned by Providence Equity Partners, the largest global private equity firm dedicated to investing in the media, information services and communications industries.
"We are excited to work with USIS, the leader in national security-related investigations and screenings," said Stan Vashovsky, HSS' Chairman and CEO. "USIS' technology standards require sophisticated design, uncompromising security and the utmost reliability. From our experience servicing the healthcare sector, with its strict regulations on safeguarding private information and the need to retrieve critical information remotely in the field, we were able to show USIS a vision for the next-generation of field mobility applications that increase worker productivity and allow management to deploy resources more efficiently."
Under the terms of the agreement, HSS will develop and implement a multi-phase Production Master Scheduling/Case Load Management system on a desktop/PDA-based application that will ensure maximum timely closure of cases while providing real-time visibility to all open cases nation-wide. Investigators will be equipped with the latest wireless PDA technology with camera and GPS-tracking capabilities to maximize visibility and case load management.
"HSS is a cutting-edge technological innovator with a reputation for best-in-class service and we look forward to working closely with them," said Christopher D. Tillery, President of USIS' Investigative Services Division. "HSS understands our needs and has the expertise to meet our technical requirements. The implementation of this project will allow us to increase efficiency and better serve our clients, both in government and in private industry."
