IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - January 21, 2009) - Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ LTRX ]), a leading provider of secure, remote device networking and data center management technologies, today announced the February availability of the company's newest Evolution Device/Terminal Server products, the 8- and 16-port EDSPS. Using industry-standard management tools, the multiport device servers allow serial equipment, such as medical devices, kiosks and retail terminals, to be accessed and managed via the Internet.

The RoHS compliant EDSPS includes strong SSH, SSL and AES-encryption, enterprise-level security which is especially important in today's corporate environment. Lantronix' highly secure Evolution OS™ ensures data transported through the EDS is protected from denial of service, port mapping and other hostile Internet attacks. The data center-grade level of protection is easy to configure and allows organizations to attach multiple electronic devices to their corporate network.

"The EDS is an important addition to our product portfolio and part of an ongoing flow of new products for 2009," said Jerry Chase, CEO Lantronix. "The product reflects our customers' expectations that Lantronix continually improves product features, security and ease of use. Investing in, and growing, our product and technology leadership is just as important to us as our commitment to positive cash flow and profitability."

Lantronix' device servers also feature industry-standard management tools for easy configuration and monitoring, and email and RSS notifications for instant visibility of device activity. The EDS' standards-based communications include a simplified, Cisco-like command line interface (CLI) to assist with set-up and control, in addition to XML-based and Web configuration tools.

Available in February, 2009, the EDSPS is an enhanced RoHS compliant replacement for Lantronix' Ethernet Terminal Servers, ETS8PS and ETS16PS. For a product trial or for more information, please visit[ www.lantronix.com/90dayEDS ].
