SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2009) - Kerio Technologies, Inc. and IrisInk Corporation provided Kerio MailServer and the technical expertise to quickly implement an enhanced messaging platform for Leopold Ketel & Partners, an award winning advertising, design and public relations agency based in the Pacific Northwest. As a leading provider of enterprise-level technology and on-site networking services, IrisInk easily migrated all of the customer's email, contacts and calendaring away from Microsoft Exchange to Kerio MailServer. IrisInk is a Kerio Preferred Partner, the highest level in Kerio's partner program.

Leopold Ketel & Partners had been using Microsoft Exchange, and the data store had reached the limit of what the existing server could manage. A couple of times per week the company had been having problems with the server that ultimately brought down the entire email service. Leopold Ketel & Partners turned to IrisInk for a proven and cost-effective solution that would support both Macs and PCs.

IrisInk recommended they move to Kerio MailServer for stability, scalability, and interoperability of groupware between the PC and Mac systems.

"As members of the creative industry, it is crucial that LKP have a reliable IT system in order to efficiently run our business," said Terra Spencer, COO of Leopold Ketel & Partners. "Since we've partnered with IrisInk and they made the recommendation to upgrade to Kerio MailServer, we have much more confidence in our system and are pleased with the results we've seen thus far."

Setting up the migration was amazingly simple, since Kerio Exchange Migration Tool handles most of the heavy lifting. IrisInk simply designated one PC to transfer the data, and installed Kerio MailServer on the new Apple Xserve. It was then just a matter of running Kerio Exchange Migration Tool and the company was on its way to having a more robust email collaboration solution. With the help of Kerio Exchange Migration Tool, a single IrisInk engineer was able to move the data quickly.

"They're an advertising company, so they use a few PCs, for administration and accounting, but the majority of the employees, including the designers, artists and account managers, use Macs," said Ross Phelps, a consulting engineer for IrisInk. "The nice thing about Kerio MailServer is that with all the protocols it can speak, it can handle email, calendaring, and resource scheduling for your whole company, no matter what platform or device an employee needs or wants to use. And, it does so without the headache, nonsensical limitations, and high-maintenance needs of Exchange."

"We are delighted not only to offer Kerio MailServer as an excellent e-mail solution to our clients, but we're also delighted with the functionality and flexibility of the product for our internal use," said Kevin Anderson, President & CEO of Computer Stores Northwest Inc., parent company of IrisInk. "The team at Kerio is very responsive to our inquiries with the product, which has become a rare commodity nowadays."

IrisInk targets SMB organizations that rarely have a full time IT person to meet the administration demands of other competitive mail servers. IrisInk is an Apple Specialist and sells primarily Apple solutions. Prior to working with Kerio, there was a giant void in the company's server deployments. Now with Kerio MailServer, IrisInk is able to offer a comprehensive groupware platform.

"IrisInk provides first class enterprise technology and consulting to hundreds of customers that use Apple products," said Dusan Vitek, vice president of Worldwide Marketing of Kerio Technologies. "For more than four years, IrisInk has demonstrated strong partner loyalty, and quickly advanced through our multi-tier Kerio Partner Program."

The Kerio Partner Program is designed for IT resellers that build solutions around customized software solutions and services, and offers comprehensive benefits such as qualified leads, online resources and training programs.
