International Datacasting Corporation: International Datacasting Corporation Announces Changes to Board of Directors
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2009) - International Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC) a global leader in providing advanced solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content via satellite, announced today that Denis Colbourne has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing Dr. Peter Scovell, who will continue to serve as a Director of the Board. In addition, Del Lippert has joined the Company's Board of Directors, following the resignation of Mark Norton.

The appointments of Mr. Colbourne and Mr. Lippert have been approved by the IDC Board of Directors and are effective immediately. Mr. Colbourne also currently serves as the Chair of IDC's Audit Committee, and he will continue to do so until the Board selects a replacement.
About Denis Colbourne
Mr. Colbourne, who has been a member of the IDC Board since 2003, is the President of DC Technologies Ltd., a business management and technology consulting company. Prior to joining DC Technologies in 1998, Mr. Colbourne was Vice President and General Manager of Nortel Semiconductors. He also previously served as Chairman of Shanghai Nortel Semiconductor (SNS), a Nortel joint venture based in Shanghai, PRC. Mr. Colbourne is currently a member of the board of several technology companies, including Chairman of Opel, Inc. He is a member of the advisory boards of Spectalis Inc., Avalon Micro Inc. and the National Research Council's Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre. He has also served as a member of the Board of Governors for the Ottawa Hospital.

Dr. Scovell is the President and founder of Newlyn Technologies Ltd., a technology consulting firm. Prior to founding Newlyn, Dr. Scovell was the Chief Executive Officer of Zenastra Photonics Inc., a fibre-optics company. Throughout his career, Dr. Scovell has also held various senior roles at COM DEV International, Nortel Networks and Bell Northern Research. Dr. Scovell currently serves on the Boards of several technology companies in North America, including COM DEV International.
