RCN Corporation: Chicago Native and True Blood(R) Star Nelsan Ellis Attended Exclusive Party Hosted by RCN

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - September 16, 2009) - [ RCN Corporation ] (NASDAQ: [ RCNI ]), a leading provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet, and premium voice services, hosted an exclusive party on September 11, where "[ True Blood ]" actor, Nelsan Ellis made a guest appearance.

Two-hundred fans attended RCN's "Fangtasia" event. Partygoers arrived two hours before the event began and soon after, the line extended down the block. Coffins, tombstones and other ghoulish décor transformed [ Hamilton's ] into Fangtasia, the show's popular vampire bar. The party featured music, food and refreshments -- including Hamilton's rendition of the "Tru Blood" beverage.

Twenty lucky fans met Nelsan Ellis and received an autographed photo. Ellis, who was born in Chicago, is known for his role as Lafayette Reynolds, the short-order cook at the popular hangout, Merlotte's. 103.5 KISS-FM's DJ Candi emceed the party and gave away prizes.
