Composite Technology Corporation: Composite Technology Launches New Websites
IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2009) - Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (
Composite Technology Corporation remains at the previous address of [ www.compositetechcorp.com ], with updated information, biographies of the management team and directors, and an enhanced investor relations section. Websites for both operating subsidiaries can be accessed by link from the Corporate website.
Information on CTC Cable may now be accessed directly at [ www.ctccable.com ]. This expanded site now includes more complete information on CTC Cable's ACCC™ core and conductor technology. It also includes a new section called MYCTC which will allow registered users to have access to in-depth technical data and reports on ACCC™ conductor technology and applications. Users wishing to be registered for this section complete a short questionnaire about themselves and their company. They are then notified by email with a unique access code.
Information on DeWind Inc. will be accessible on a new site at [ www.ctcdewind.com ]. As with the CTC Cable website, the new website will include expanded information about DeWind's wind turbine technology and applications. As of today, extracts of the content from this site can be accessed through links in the Corporate site. The new DeWind site will be directly accessible in the coming weeks.
"The update of the Corporate website and the segregation of the subsidiary websites is long overdue. We have a high demand for information about our products and our previous site just did not do the job," noted Marv Sepe, COO of Composite Technology Corporation and President of CTC Cable. "We believe the websites now offer valuable information, a complete explanation of our product offerings and access to the latest updates to allow our customers to properly engineer and apply our products to their projects," Mr. Sepe added. All three websites will be expanded as new information is available.
About CTC:
Composite Technology Corporation, based in Irvine, California, USA, develops, manufactures and sells innovative high performance electrical transmission and renewable energy generation products through its subsidiaries:
CTC Cable Corporation produces composite rod for use in its patented high efficiency ACCC* conductors, used in electrical transmission grids. ACCC™ conductors have less line loss compared to similar diameter conventional conductors and therefore enable power generators to reduce the amount of generation while still delivering the same power to customers. Our conductors have demonstrated significant savings in upgrade capital costs as well as operating expenses when substituted in grid systems. ACCC™ conductors enable grid operators to reduce blackouts and brownouts by providing reserve electrical capacity, since they can be operated at higher temperatures without significant thermal line sag. ACCC™ conductors are an economical solution for reconductoring power lines, constructing new lines and crossing large spans. ACCC™ core is produced by CTC Cable and delivered to licensed qualified conductor manufacturers worldwide for ACCC™ conductor production and resale into local markets.
DeWind Inc. designs, produces, and sells the DeWind series of wind energy turbines, including the new 2 megawatt (MW) D8.2 model in both 60Hz and 50Hz, the 2MW D8 model in 50Hz, and the 1.25MW D6 model in 50Hz. The D8.2 turbine uses a WinDrive® hydrodynamic torque converter, by Voith AG, in combination with a synchronous high voltage generator that is synchronized directly to the grid without the use of power conversion electronics. DeWind D8.2 turbines are assembled at TECO Westinghouse Motor Co., in Texas.
