L-3 Awarded Systems, Software & Planning Contract by U.S. Navy

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Command & Control Systems and Software (C2S2) division has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the U.S. Navy for software, planning and engineering services tasks. This is a one-year award with four optional years. If all options are exercised, it would be valued at $87.4 million.

Under this contract, L-3 will provide a broad array of services including support for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems; unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) motion imagery software development, emergency preparedness planning, technology validation, and mission training for the Navy's ISR & Information Operations Department, various joint programs and the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
