Wed, February 18, 2009 Actuate to Showcase BIRT Exchange at 2009 Southern California Linux Expo
SAN MATEO, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ:ACTU), the leader in delivering Rich Internet Applications Without Limits™, today announced that it will be attending the seventh annual SCALE (Southern California Linux Expo), one of the largest Linux conferences in the region, attracting enterprise and industry professionals along with smaller businesses, non-profit industries and Linux enthusiasts, where the company will be showcasing BIRT Exchange. The conference runs from February 20-22, at the Los Angeles Airport Westin in Los Angeles, CA in booth #54.
BIRT Exchange is a community site that offers developers the broadest single collection of resources for the Eclipse Foundation's BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) project. Developers who need to build reporting into applications can share ideas, technical tips and code snippets, and download software, documentation and examples. BIRT Exchange is sponsored by Actuate, which initiated and co-leads the BIRT project. Actuate offers commercial products that extend BIRT as well as technical support, training and consulting services for Eclipse BIRT users.
In Booth 54 in the exhibit hall at SCALE, Actuate will be showing demos of BIRT, signing people up for BIRT Exchange and raffling BIRT Rocks t-shirts and sets of BIRT books.
