    • The NASA rover "Curiosity" discovered what scientists say is the largest ever seen organic molecules on Mars, raising speculation about if life was created billions of years ago on the Red Planet.

NASA's Curiosity rover has discovered the largest known organic molecules on Mars, according to a recent report. These molecules, found in Gale Crater, are significant because they are more complex than previously detected organic compounds on the planet. The findings suggest that the Martian surface might have once supported life, as organic molecules are the building blocks of life. The rover used its Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) instrument to detect these compounds, which include benzene and propane, within ancient lakebed mudstones. This discovery adds to the growing body of evidence that Mars had conditions suitable for life in its distant past, although it does not confirm the presence of past or present life.
