The Middletown High School Agricultural Science Program has been awarded a $5,000 STEM grant from the National Future Farmers of America Organization. This grant will fund the purchase of a new hydroponic system, enhancing the school's ability to teach students about sustainable agriculture and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on learning. This initiative not only supports the development of practical skills but also aims to inspire students towards careers in agriculture and related STEM fields. The program, under the guidance of teacher David Stowe, has been recognized for its efforts to integrate modern agricultural practices into the curriculum, thereby preparing students for future challenges in food production and environmental sustainability.
