STEM Lab launched at the University of Limpopo
- The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, has officially opened a state-of-the-art STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Lab at the University of Limpopo.
The University of Limpopo has launched a new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Laboratory, aimed at fostering innovation and research among students and academics. This initiative, supported by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and the National Research Foundation (NRF), seeks to enhance the university's capacity to produce high-quality research and skilled graduates in STEM fields. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support various scientific experiments and projects, providing a platform for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage in practical learning and research. The launch event highlighted the government's commitment to transforming South Africa into a knowledge-based economy by investing in STEM education and infrastructure. The lab is expected to not only boost academic pursuits but also contribute to solving real-world problems through technological and scientific advancements.
