  • Issues related to science and innovation were at the core of the Ministers of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Professor Blade Nzimande and Higher Education, Dr Nobuhle Nkabane's meeting.

In a recent discussion, South African Ministers Blade Nzimande and Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams highlighted the critical role of science, technology, and innovation in driving the country's economic growth and addressing societal challenges. Minister Nzimande, responsible for Higher Education, Science and Technology, emphasized the need for increased investment in research and development to foster innovation and enhance the nation's global competitiveness. Meanwhile, Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams, who oversees Small Business Development, stressed the importance of supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in leveraging technology to create jobs and stimulate economic activity. Both ministers underscored the government's commitment to promoting a knowledge-based economy and ensuring that scientific advancements benefit all South Africans.
