  • President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Accra STEM Academy, an institution dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo commissioned the Accra STEM Academy on May 25, 2023, marking a significant step in Ghana's educational development. Located at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Accra, the academy aims to foster Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. During the commissioning, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the government's commitment to transforming Ghana into a hub for STEM education, emphasizing the importance of equipping the youth with skills necessary for the fourth industrial revolution. The facility includes modern laboratories, classrooms, and workshops designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. The President also stressed the need for collaboration between educational institutions, industry, and government to ensure that STEM education aligns with national development goals.
