Student brings knife, threatens students at New Haven technical school

  • NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - A student brought a knife to a New Haven technical school today. The incident took place at Barnard Environmental Science & Technology School. The student threatened other students with the knife before it was quickly confiscated, according to police. No one was injured.

A student at Eli Whitney Technical High School in New Haven, Connecticut, was arrested after bringing a knife to school and threatening other students. The incident occurred on a Friday, leading to a lockdown of the school for about 45 minutes. The student, whose identity was not disclosed, was apprehended by school security and police, and no injuries were reported. The school administration commended the quick response of the security team and stated that such behavior would not be tolerated, emphasizing the importance of safety and security within the school environment.
